...and it's nearly ready for consumption! It's been pretty quiet on the blog of late - apologies for that... Hopefully you've not gotten the impression that there hasn't been much going on, because there's LOADS happening!

Maybe you've spotted that we've been posting a few tidbits on our Facebook page? No? Well go on, take a look then ;)

Obviously the big news at the moment is that we're getting close to releasing the next chunky update, version 1.7.

Don't want to go into detail right now about what's in there, but I do want to point out that when it comes out that you download and re-install rather than let the updater do its thing...

Why, you may well ask? Well, for one, the new version will allow you to open Neck Diagrams .fbd files from anywhere on your computer and to do this a file association has to be created which is done by the Setup installer on Windows, and is set in the .app file on the Mac.

There's files that the update mechanism can't reach (hmmm wonder if a Heineken would help??) and things it just can't do, so this time around, when you see those magic words "New Update Available!" then head off to the download page and grab it from there!

And don't worry about your data and diagram files! They're all kept in a place separate from the program files (want to know where? take a look in the reference section of the Help docs, click on Help Contents under the Help menu in Neck Diagrams, as it depends on your computers operating system). Uninstalling and reinstalling won't affect your data, and you shouldn't even need to re-unlock and re-register either!!
