That's odd - the only setting you need to set is Preferences > Fretboard > Labels > Note Marker.

Are you maybe using a custom template, ie one of your own pages saved as a template..?

Looks to me that you have both "Row 1 labels" AND "Row 2 labels" in the Legends section of the Inspector set to show "Notes" therefore you have 2 rows of the note names showing in the legend...
