Thanks Justin! Just realized that the open string labels are available in the latest release. I was trying to use 0 (zero) as a shortcut.
It would be nice if there was an option to add parenthesis around note events to indicate optional notes, plus option to show open string (0) fingering labels.

True, although selecting a fretboard is faster since you don't have to be as precise when making the selection. Plus, you can press CTRL+SHIFT+F to quickly select all fretboards. Just thinking of...
Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I was looking for a faster way, for example, by first selecting the fretboards, then right-clicking any 5th, or "Select all 5's on this page".
The version 2.3.0 RC10/1760/2bfc593d release notes advertises the following enhancements:
Enhanced the note marker selection menu options to work not only for single fretboards but across...
I often adjust the note marker font size by a value of 2. Doing so causes the note markers to no longer be centered inside the notes. The offset note markers are unfortunately also offset in exported...
In addition to the rectangle shape, it would be useful to have a polygonal shape, so you can easily outline different string sets on different frets.
It would also be useful if you can set a...
It would be great to be able to use the distribute and align tools with polylines. I often need to align multiple polylines across a page, and it's difficult to do so manually.
Each polyline might...
The following change was introduced in ND2.1.1:
We've adjusted how pasted items are positioned..
previously if you copy then immediately pasted the new item(s) would get placed directly on top...
@Justin, is there a change log available for the 2.1 release?
The Help >Check for Updates command didn't detect any updates, but I see the 2.1 release is available from the Download page (version...
Nice! Looking forward to it.
Happy Holidays!
Any hope of seeing the 2.1 release before the holidays?
I have the same experience with ND2 (and previously ND1). Labels are never properly centered. I primarily show interval labels, but it doesn't matter if I use default or custom labels. I have...
You can currently select all notes of a specific pitch or interval. It would be nice if you could also select all notes of a specific shape (solid dot, hollow dot, solid triangle, hollow triangle,...
It would be helpful if there was an option to select all fretboards in a multi-page project, not just on the current page.
Hi Justin,
I'll send in a couple of .fbd files that demonstrate #1 and #2.
I'll try to reproduce #4 and send in a file, but I merged the original files that I was having problems with. I...
In addition to the planned chord editor/library, below are a few FRs that would greatly improve my ND2 workflow.
Make the Select tool smarter. It is cumbersome to constantly switch between the...
Please let me know if you prefer a separate post for each issue. Here are a few issues I have run into during the first week of using ND2.
Labels are not properly centered inside notes. This...
It would be nice if text boxes can be freely rotated, or at least by 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Looking forward to ND2, and have already pre-ordered.
I didn’t see it in any of the ND2 screenshots, but it would be nice if an opacity setting (0-100%) is eventually made available in the...
In case you haven't located the files yet. ND stores the library in the following location:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\NeckDiagrams
Paste the following path in a file browser...
In addition to many of the great new features that have been confirmed for ND2, below is a list of features I would love to see implemented in a future release.
Copy/paste fretboard...
Sounds great, Dean. Bring it on!
Feel free to ping me if you eventually plan to recruit any external beta testers for ND2.
Oops. I was reading it quickly on my phone and read it as "Joseph will ping you...". The comma changes the whole meaning.:) Sorry about that.
Yes, we can indeed work with ND1 for now. Sometimes we...
