    Lightbulb Text Box Navigations

    I am enjoying the new features in ND2. Yeah

    within Text Boxes Cursor Left & Right as well as Shift-L&R, Ctrl-L&R are operating as expected.
    also the the Ctrl-Home&End keys are operating as expected.

    What is missing are the Home and End keys to quickly move to the start and end of a line.
    I am hoping this is simple, maybe an attribute of the Textbox Object that you can enable and WooHooo!

    Hi RoyReddy,

    I've just double-checked HOME/END on Windows 7, 10 and Mac High Sierra also.. all working as expected for me, going to the beginning/end of the current line!

    Are you using a laptop maybe, or a non-full size keyboard - these often need an FN function-type key to be held down for certain keys that have multiple assignments to get around the reduced size!

    I'm using a full size keyboard with number keypad, btw..

    Thanks for the confirmation.
    I am using a full size keyboard as well on a win7 desktop

    I was very curious. I went back in to see what I was experiencing. Created a new doc and added a Text box. All the keys operate as expected.

    scratched my head. What had I seen that I reported.
    ahah, the text in the attached Diagram. Here is where the Home and End keys were not operating.
    example on the "Am Pentatonic" line.

    A minor Pentatonic.fbd

    Is the Text different here? Header/Footer type text?

    what the heck
    when I open the Example "Minor Pent Position 2" Diagram the Home and End are operating fine

    baffled.

    Then I create a New Doc from 'One Landscape' the Home and End are operating fine on the Header text
    Now Scale Generate Diatonic/Minor Pentatonic between fret 5 & 9 Key of A, set Title is OFF
    @100% zoom.
    the Home and End are operating fine on the Header text

    @75% zoom, @50% zoom, @125% zoom,
    the Home and End are NOT operating

    back to @100% zoom.
    and the Home and End are operating fine on the Header text
    attached as New Document(3)

    I went back to the Example "Minor Pent Position 2" Diagram
    @100%, @75% zoom, @50% zoom, @125% zoom, @150%
    the Home and End are operating fine. I get to these zoom levels with CRTL-MouseWheel

    If I drag the zoom to other levels
    @92%, @112%, @121%, @133% zoom, @142%
    the Home and End are NOT operating

    If I drag the zoom to other levels
    @110%, @135%, @140%
    the Home and End are operating

    let me know if I can help further.

    also I would like to offer,

    at your discretion move this to a bug forum

    and spent a bunch of time collecting test cases for you. that may imply I see this as a bfd. that is not the case.
    there are several easy work-arounds, no apparent negative impacts.

    so I see this is a low priority buG

    now it may make you curious, as it did for me. You may lie awake one afternoon wondering if this is related to another scale/text defect behaviour. well then it is entirely up to You

    Thanks for looking into it so thoroughly!!

    Seems to be happening on any text boxes, regular ones or fretboard titles/footers - and it's definitely the zoom not being 100% that's causing it. Even more strangely, in a text box with lots of lines/paragraphs, home/end works on some of those lines when zoom isn't 100%, but on others it doesn't.

    I've raised a dev ticket so we get this one fixed This'll probably be a 'fun' one to debug lol
